Always wanted to learn to dance rock ‘n’ roll style? Maybe you already know a few moves and would love to meet up with like minded people?
Join us every Tuesday and Thursday night as our resident dance instructors Lynn Ruggles and Tim Benatos teach you a new routine.
Expect rock ‘n’ roll dance moves that originated in the 1950’s and evolved over the years – Six-Step Rock ‘n’ Roll, Rockabilly/Open Rock’ n’ Roll, East Coast Swing and Jive. Each lesson starts with some basic steps and then progresses into a full routine by the end of the hour.
Even if you have never danced before, you will get your body moving on a fun and supportive dance floor. Singles and couples are welcome.
Once the lesson is over, stick around to bust out your new moves with DJ Mark Bowden playing classic rock ‘n’ roll hits plus modern classic.
50’s inspired clothing, footwear and hair styles encouraged.
Not quite ready to hit the dance floor? You’re welcome to sit back and watch the lesson, bop along to the beat from your chair, or join in when the DJ comes on.
