Our Story
The Spirit of the Red V Museum was launched on Friday 25 June 2021 to commemorate the 100 year centenary of the Dragons. It showcases over 150 pieces of memorabilia from a fully catalogued collection of nearly 1000 pieces, much of which has never been seen before.
There are milestones and memories that showcase and celebrate the players, officials and fans that created the legacy and spirit that is the famous “Red V”.
Throughout the century there are many moments to highlight, most notably the world record 11 straight premierships from 1956 to 1966 that contributed to making the iconic white with a Red
V jumper, one of the most treasured insignia in Australian sport.
With such a vast collection, the museum, under the curatorial direction of Anthony O’Carroll (former SCG Museum curator), will be regularly refreshed to ensure it remains a dynamic representation of the centenary celebration and captures the ongoing evolution of this famous club.
