The St George Leagues Club Photographic Society is keen to welcome people who have an interest in photography. This interest may range from simply wanting to enjoy good photography (maybe trying to understand how that new digital camera works) or you may want to improve your level of skills to the point where you want to enter international competitions.
The St George Leagues Club Photographic Society is one of the many interest clubs that is supported by the St George Leagues Club. In addition our photographic society is affiliated with the Federation of Camera Clubs (FCC) of New South Wales.
Our club is one of the largest amateur photographic clubs in NSW. We are a happy group of keen amateurs with a sprinkling of semi-professionals. Some of our members are absolute beginners whilst others have been with the club since its inception over 50 years ago. Amongst our members are award winners at national and international levels and some members are accredited judges of club competitions. Overall we are a diverse group of people who share a passion for photography but also a willingness to help others learn.

It is with great sadness we report the passing of a great St. George identity Mr Fred Fisher. Fred as everyone knew him was a Life Member of the St. George Leagues Club, St. Georges Leagues Club Bowling Club and St. George Leagues Sports Council. He worked tirelessly for our bowling club as well as collecting donations for the Children’s Hospital Fund. To Fred’s family we extend our sincere condolences and we in the bowling club will miss a close friend and his good humour.
This year Horrie Nicholson, Laurie Suggate and John Howard long term members have retired from executive positions though still remain active club members. We thank them for their hard work, time and effort put in over the years.
